Managing Editor - Professor David Cottle

Established in 1954 by the University of New South Wales, the journal is now published electronically by the University of New England, Armidale, Australia using bePress technology. The International Journal of Sheep and Wool Science is a journal for the publication of original articles about the wool and sheep meat industries and all aspects of sheep and small ruminant breeding and husbandry including:

  • On-farm production
  • Handling
  • Transport
  • Measurement
  • Marketing and
  • Processing of wool and meat

While the emphasis is on wool and meat production by sheep, articles are published on fibres from other animals. Review articles and letters to the Editor are invited. Submission of papers and editorial matters are via this website. Submit an Article.

In order to access articles published in the International Journal of Sheep and Wool Science you must purchase a personal or institutional subscription. Please see the Subscriptions page for additional information. The International Journal of Sheep and Wool Science plans to move to a pay for paper view service in 2010. It is not certain yet when this can be implemented. As a result, please do not send 2010 subscription fees. We will inform you in February if there is any need to subscribe in 2010 if the download service will not be in place early enough in 2010. We apologise for any inconvenience. 2009 subscribers will be able to still download papers until the end of February.
